Some of the biggest pop stars in the world has brushed shoulders with Bitcoin-accepting businesses and other musicians. One business, a first class recording studio in New York, is on the cutting edge of payments in the music industry.

The likes of Beyonce, Coldplay, Pixar, Dreamworks, Cartoon Network and A&E use the Bitcoin-accepting Premier Studio (PS) located in New York City.

PS enjoys top-notch company such as 50 Cent, Nas, Snoop Dogg, and other musicians, who have also championed Bitcoin for the music industry.

Premier Studios (PS) is a forward-looking, well-established music recording, sound editing and voice over studio owned by Sandy Schneiderman. In addition to recording services, PS offers in-house seminars for anyone who wants to learn the business of music recording and sound editing.

Pop, rock, jazz stars such as Beyonce, Coldplay, Lil Wayne, Busta Rhymes, John Legend have used the studio. Clients such as Pixar, Dreamworks, Cartoon Network and A&E use PS for voice overs, ADR and sound editing.

“The vibe of the studio is very important to us,” Schneiderman tells CCN.com.

“The vibe of the rooms is so important that’s the reason we put $500,000 into it. If I talk to an artist, they say ‘make sure the vibe is great.’” The studio also recently installed Pro Tools 11, he adds, to go alongside a world-class microphone collection.

Well-known Bitcoiner Tatiana Moroz recorded at the studio and helped introduce them to Bitcoin and BitPay, the company PS uses in order to process Bitcoin payments.

PS accepts the crypto-currency Bitcoin for payment of services in addition to credit cards and cash.

Schneiderman tells me he does not care how the services at PS are paid. If payment is by Bitcoin, PS directs the client to contact BitPay, who converts Bitcoin into US dollars for the company. To date, nobody has paid with Bitcoin at the studio. Schneiderman doesn’t know if anyone ever will.

“I hope they do use it as an alternative payment for services,” he said.
