In March 2016, DMM.com, an online entertainment platform with some 19 million users enabled purchases with bitcoin on the website. The online platform and marketplace is among the top 25 websites in Japan. In this case, DMM.com also sought the help of a locally-based bitcoin exchange, in Coincheck.

In the same month, the biggest online auction and marketplace in South Africa – Bidorbuy, included bitcoin as a mode of payment for its users. With over 30 million page views every month, Bidorbuy is among the most visited websites in South Africa.

Notably, the feature is available for both buyers and sellers in the marketplace.
