The Coin Congress will return to San Francisco, Calif. with a 2-day event Aug. 13 and 14 at San Francisco’s Hilton Union Square. The event brings together some of the best minds in disruptive ecosystems. They include professionals and entrepreneurs in cryptocurrency, 3D printing, new media, virtual reality, gaming crowdfunding, peer-to-peer marketplaces, space exploration and more.

Brock Pierce, chairman of the Bitcoin Foundation, founded the Coin Congress in 2014. Angel investor and entrepreneur Twan Vrints joins the team as chief executive officer.

The Congress has already hosted two events in Singapore and San Francisco. In addition to bitcoin, the Congress explores digital currency, monetization, integration and user acquisition.

Interactive gaming and more

Attendees will participate in interactive gaming and intuitive networking through an exclusive app event. There will be PechaKucha style presentations and Q&A sessions. The format, which keeps presentations concise and fast-paced, powers multiple-speaker events called PechaKucha Nights (PKNs). PechaKucha is a presentation style in which 20 slides are shown for 20 seconds each (six minutes and 40 seconds in total). There will also be startup circuits, charity showcases, artist showcases, VIP parties and a celebration hosted by Tom and Gary’s Distributed Dance Party.

“This conference will bring together top thought leaders to share their insight on the overall state of disruption while providing attendees with actionable takeaways for their businesses,” Pierce said.
